ABOUT ME

EDUCATION

I started computer animation when I was 16 in 2005. In highschool I became a teachers aide for the school's photoshop/flash/maya classes where I helped solve problems and answers students' questions. During my senior year I got a head start on my college classes at Riverside Community College where I took C++ and 3DS Max classes along with some general eds. In 2009 I moved to Los Angeles and enrolled at Los Angeles Film School as one of the first of four animation students from the new Computer Animation program. I graduated top of my class with honors and received the 'Best in Show' award.

SKILLS (Why you should hire me)

I am what's called a technical artist. For those not in the animation or games industry this means that I like to specialize in things like setting up characters for animation, lighting scenes, compositing, programming/scripting, tool development, research and development, and other boring stuff. However, I am a generalist meaning I can do every sub-category of animation. In many situations the fact that I can work in every area has saved clients time and money by not having to hire an extra person to do another part of a job. I do it all. Below are the programs I have experience with:

Maya, After Effects, Realflow, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Vegas, Dreamweaver, DarkBasic Pro, Filemaker Pro, Illustrator, ZBrush, ZPrint, Final Cut, Boujou, Unreal Editor, Nuke, Encore, Mocha, and many others.

The most important thing about me is that I get the job done fast, and I get it done right. If a client isn't 100% happy with a work in progress shot, I revise until it is exactly what they paid for. I'm a very immediate gratification type of person and speed is clearly an important part of production. In the past I have even composited things like gunshots and wounds on set so the director and cinematographer can see results as quickly as half an hour after shooting them. I'm definitely not afraid to pull all-nighters at the studio to meet impossible deadlines.

OTHER STUFF

I like Star Wars a lot. I am in a charity group called the Rebel Legion which is a group of people who own high quality Star Wars costumes and raises money for different groups or events.

I have played Dance Dance Revolution for 8 years. I'm okay at it.
